DIY Address Keeper

While writing thank you notes recently, I found myself wishing I had all the addresses of family and friends in one convenient place. I had a list from the wedding, but many addresses were outdated and some people are newer friends. I love the idea of a super cute address book, but I hate writing in those tiny lines, running out of room for the S's (you know who you are), and crossing it out when someone moves. There has to be an easier way!

First, I found a recipe box that I am not using (recipe binder post coming soon). Can't beat Vera Bradley!

Then, some scratch paper and a recipe with a tab to trace the alphabet divider cards. I made 13.

Next, I got some notecards to write the addresses on. The 4 x 6 size fit in the box.

Then came the daunting task of writing the addresses and phone numbers on the cards! Spread out over a few days though, it wasn't bad.

Ta da! It's done! Now if someone moves, I take out their old card and write a new one! No scratching out required.

Summertime = Blog-time

It's summertime!! Although here in southeast Michigan, it didn't start feeling like summer until about two weeks ago! This summer has already been jam packed with activities and just started to slow down. What have we done this summer, you ask??

Well...

I taught my last day at Miller. :(

We went to Destin, FL

...and Myrtle Beach, SC.

We moved to Detroit!!

Justin started his new job as a project engineer, specializing in hospitals.

We've had visitors and enjoyed exploring our new home.

I've been looking for a job... and settling in... and praying about both!

I'm working on some crafty projects for around the house, so stay tuned to see how those turn out... plus get a tour of our new home :)
