First, I stopped at Old Navy and came away with some tights I know I'll need for teaching this fall. Lafayette's cold winter was rough on my tights, and it's time for some new ones. I have so many dresses and skirts that I like to wear in the winter, but without tights?? Forget it. I wear gray the most (plus they have a subtle chevron pattern on them), but brown is a good neutral too. And guess how much... $0.97 each! Can't beat that!
Then it was off to Payless, where I found an amazing pair of flats. I have been wanting some black, pointed toe flats for teaching for a while. What's even better is that these are patent leather AND were only $7. (If you can't tell, I'm more about a bargain than brands...)
Next, it was one of my favorites for teaching clothes, Ann Taylor Loft. I ended up finding a dress that I fell in love with and fit me perfectly, but had no place to wear it to. :( The skirt is layered ribbons of crochet (if that makes sense).
Finally on to my favorite, Forever 21. If you love a good deal, you need to go there. You can spend hours just wandering around. Half of the stuff there I would NEVER wear, but sometimes it's fun to step out of your comfort zone....... Drum roll please!
Ta da! My beautiful cropped, skinny, leopard printed pants. I love them. I've also been wanting to try a printed pant for a while and here they are on sale for $15.99. Plus add the deep blue top for $7 and some change, and you have a deal! I'm really pumped to play with this outfit... take it from work to play.
Hope you had some fun today and enjoyed my walk on the wild side. Tomorrow I'm going to share a light, delicious summer pasta that I made for dinner last night.
What's the craziest fashion trend you have tried?
